You've probably heard of layering before. But do you know how to implement it in your classes? In this session, we will discuss the principles of layering, how to best use it in your classes, and why it is so effective for teaching any form of choreography or new movement pattern.
From 3 base moves, discover how to build a complete sequence of movements that make sense and is easy for your participants to learn. You'll leave this session with a clear understanding of how layering works and practical tips on how to use it in your classes.
Training without recovery = no gains, fatigue, and potential sickness and injury. Dave will be taking
you through key regeneration techniques he uses with professional athletes to keep them at the top
of their game. He will focus on the aspects of sleep optimisation and simple body work techniques
that you can habitually use to keep your body adapting and turning up ready to move. Bring your
tired aching body along to this session and learn how to tune yourself up and regenerate.

Steve is a life coach, motivational speaker and international fitness presenter that has inspired thousands of people all over the world with his motivational sessions.
His stellar career began in Belgium in 1997 when he was awarded Instructor of the Year by FFA. Rookie of the year 2000, Belgian Fitness Trophy 2002, 2003 EFAA presenter of the Year and the 2004 Presenter of Excellence UK and nominated as top 4 best international presenters in NY. Steve was a trainer for “the biggest Loser” and “celebrity Fitness” TV shows.
Steve has travelled to over 90 countries as a dancer, presenter and trainer. He is internationally recognised for both his original boundary pushing concepts and choreography, as well as his approachable yet larger than life personality.

Dave is the founder of the Holistic Movement Coach Programme based in the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
Dave has a long history as an elite high-performance sport conditioning coach. Over the last 25 years of practice he has a developed a niche working with clients with chronic pain and injuries.
He currently presents internationally to health professionals on integrating a holistic approach, and cutting-edge movement techniques into health and fitness.
Award-winning Group Fitness Instructor and presenter from Auckland New Zealand, Erin was named the National Group Exercise Instructor of the Year 2010-freestyle. Her sessions are well-known for their effectiveness, achievability and a whole lot of fun. Erin has been teaching and managing in the fitness industry for 20 years, and has presented both nationally and internationally. She has recently started delivering Coach by Color education for Life Fitness New Zealand.
Mexican born and now based in Christchurch. Maria Teresa has been teaching group fitness (land and water) since 1996.
She helped launch the global phenomenon Zumba fitness in New Zealand and Australia in 2009. With her role as a Zumba Education Specialist (ZES) she has trained thousands of instructors worldwide.
